My name is Mathew Ridoutt, the grandson of Roy Ridoutt. Unfortunately I was overseas when my grandfather passed away after a long battle with cancer.
Roy, being a big lover of Harley Davidson and in his younger day owned one himself. I thought it would be appropriate that I build one in memory of him. It was very easy to convince a friend of mine Colin Carey to build it for me.
After lengthy discussion and hundred's of hours labour we have a wonderfully built 1976 FLH Shovelhead Harley Davidson which was painted green as it was Roy's favourite colour.
Most importantly I have a custom made number plate "Roy76" displayed on the back. A great reminder of why it was done.
I have definitely enjoyed the 18 months it took to build the bike and I am very proud of the way it has turned out. I hope you all admire it just as much as I enjoy riding it.
Yours Sincerely
Mathew Ridoutt
