This is my new toy a KLM600 kawasaki road trail. It is a 500cc 2 cylinder water cooled engine and a 5 speed transmission. Goes well. Not very quick but definitely enough punch for around the town. I have performed the following repairs and modifications over the past 12 months. Replaced the clutch, clutch cable, rear tyre and modified the intake. Fitted a set of sock air cleaners to the carbies removing the original air box and fitted the next size up in the main jets of the carbi to tune the engine for the pods. This modification made a dramatic difference .
Also removed some of the baffles in the exhaust to help the engine breath a bit better. That's about it for this one guys. It's really more a bike I got for my learners permit as it is learner legal in NSW . Will be upgrading the bike in the next few years though is still quite drivable for me. Will also post photos of it on this site as well when I get it. Great idea with the site. Really good to get ideas about what you want to do if someone has already owned one and done the modifications to it for reading. Saves allot of trial and error. Keep up the god work guys. Luv the new intro page. Much more professional.
As you can see this bike is a learner legal bike in NSW thanks to a reasonable law governing power to weight on some makes and models. Makes good sense for people who are big to be able to ride bigger bikes. Anyway's, I hope you have enjoyed reading this page
