CLUB HISTORY

In the year 2001, several Newcastle based members of the Hunter Valley
Car Club decided that Newcastle was a large enough place, with enough
Ford enthusiasts to support a club of its own.

A run to Tea Gardens in March 2001 and subsequent meetings amongst
those who attended agreed to the formation of the Falcon GT Car Club
of Newcastle. A temporary committee was formed and a constitution
was drafted. The first AGM was held and a committee elected, and the
club was registered as a incorporated body with the Dept. of Fair Trading.

In 2002 the club negotiated a sponsorship arrangement with Club Tomago

that has proved to be a huge benefit to both clubs. The sponsorship continues to the present day.
