This is my VL Wagon .. This car was was a great car, clean and sprayed at least three times but the most impressive part was the running gear. The pissy original engine was replaced after an unfortunate meeting with the ugly oil pressure demon which destroyed the old motor. Thank goodness this paved the way for a mild 355 stroker with a stage three cam and a turbo 350 transmission with a stage 2 shift kit. This pissy little standard exhaust manifolds have been replaced by two into one extractors and this made this VL a force to be reckoned with. I have included some photos of the destruction caused to the old motor with the loss of oil pressure.

As you can see pretty clearly I am holding back the tears from the destruction shown. But never the less the whole engine build was worthwhile. We did end up going a bit overboard with the engine build. The carbon build up was the ultimate detrimental factor which blocked the oil pick up and caused the loss of oil pressure. Obviously stopping the car when the oil pressure would have been a good idea but cant change the past so we live with it.the engine. There was not much we could salvage from the old engine other than the bolts.

The engine was fitted into a VL block with 40 thou over size badger pistons, chrome molly rings , new vt block, l34 heads, stage three cam and a stock rochester carburetor as we ran out of money towards the end. Drove really well with torque coming out of its arse. This car was a personal favourite however the heart and sole of it was its running gear. Thanks for reading guys.
