Nestled amongst the beautiful secluded area of Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park, the 38th Annual Northern Beaches hot Rod club held it's Bobbin Head run for the year of 2009, and what a year it was. There were hundreds of vehicles to drool over which had been painstakingly restored, modified and meticulously prepared for what is one of Sydney's greatest hotrod runs ever.
The run to the event was through the picturesque Ku-ring-gai Chase National park through Bobbin Head Rd which is well known with enthusiasts offering challenging curves which tested the handling, braking and skill of the hotrods and owners alike.
A friendly outgoing nature of the exhibitors was one of our first striking impressions as we weaved our way through the myriad of spectacular cars and bikes on display. Owners were more than happy to share information on the how and why of their project build.
From Jaguar rear ends to 671 blowers to wild custom chassis modifications and impressive innovations. The vehicles offered it all. Style, performance and the head-turning looks that only a hotrod could attract.
Nothing more to say than an excellent event for the whole family being well catered for with a bite to eat, bathroom facilities and plenty of BBQ areas to enjoy .
