The 2006 Anual bike show was a verry interesting one where you could try sitting on and querying the different bikes on show. The bikes varied in type and style and it was great to see what was actually available. Myself I enjoy riding cruisers with highway pegs though my mate Scotty prefers enduro and sports bikes. Whichever the choice there was more than enough to satisfy the critics here. If you click on the photos individually you can get a close up view of the bike you are interested in.

As you can see I just cant help myself sitting on those big fat cruisers. A personal favourite was the kawasaki vulcan 1800 and the suzuki boulevard M90. Pitty the suzuki boulevard M109 hasnt been in this bike show. It boasts a 2000 cc Vtwin water cooled engine, shaft drive and a really cool space aged look. Though the kawasaki vulcan 1800 was not dissapointing with 1800cc engine, nice laid back riding position and really comfortable highway pegs. I am a sucker for comfort.

Though it took alot of persuation I finally got my mate scotty to jump onto the scooter. These little scooters though funny and gay looking seem to be in fact verry practical. Boasting a 600cc engine and automatic for comfort round the city are quite capable of blowing the socks off my vt500e . Personal favourite in these pictures is the Honda Valkarye 1800 RUNE boasting a flat 6 cylinder fuel injected engine with horse power to boot. Pitty they wouldnt let me sit on this one. It was a real tease.

Above to the left is Robert trying on a nice tourer for sise. Honda makes nice cruisers. Also are some custom harley choppers. Though really pretty I question the practicality of a bike with no indicators and rear suspension. Comfort was definetely not one of the key features of these suckers. Cant help but admire the workmanships that went into building one of those custome harleys. There is actually a video out there which does a documentary on a Jesse James of West coast choppers in the states which shows the work involved. Video is called Motorcycle mania 1,2 and 3. Look it up guys is verry facinating.
