Willowglen
4x4 challenge 2007
The Willowglen 4x4 Challenge was held in Willowglen NSW Just
past Tarago. It featured rugged 4wd tracks with a multitude of competitors
to keep all the spectators entertained. With steep slopes and no real spectator
comforts other than what is found in the bush, the spectators were really
put through their paces to get to a decent vantage point much like their
4wd competitors.
What a day. I tell you what, after a day like today I was in pain all over. But what an event. There was something to see everywhere you looked. I must congratulate the event organizers for providing toilet facilities, hot showers for the competitors and campers and for the emergency services being on site.
The Spectators were reasonably well behaved also. Being friendly and laid back. There was one roll over we saw on the day. Thankfully the driver and navigator crawled out unscaved. Just another reason why this event made for great spectating. The showoffyourwheels team thanks the event organizers for organizing an event of this caliber and we look forward to attending next year possibly as a competitor.
