The Australian Motor Racing Championship was held at Wakefield Park Raceway on a sunny saturday. A chance for all drivers and teams to test their nerve and skill in this demanding race. Scrutinising is quite relaxed at this venue and it is quite easy to bring your own car or motorcycle onto the track.
We were also lucky to see a celebrity during our visit. Lightning McQueen from the feature film Cars was racing on the day which was a real treat for fans. Many eager fans lined up to have their photo taken with this much loved celebrity.
Wakefield raceway is a well known venue with a rich and diverse history servicing the area for many years. Mainly set up for circuit type racing the venue provides for the enthusiast with generous parking, catering and ample spectator viewing area.
