The Fairfield City Council's -"Youth
festival " held its first ever Show Off your Car Day of 2008, and it
was no wonder we couldn't resist giving the show the exposure it deserved.
Though rain dampened the vehicle numbers on display it was definitely
still worth the trip.
We were thrilled to be there and the even bigger honour was to be Judge of the best vehicle there. It was extremely hard to select the winner of the event with so many magnificently prepared cars to see.
Best car of the day we unanimously agreed on was the unbelievable honda. loaded to the teeth with entertainment electronics , audio and visual and it even boasted gold plated wheel spokes. It's lucky owner was treated to $500 in prize money which we agreed came in handy.
Another personal favourite was the highly modified datsun 1200 coupe, boasting a gigantic turbo charger setup and huge tubbed rear end and the crowd pleasing Cadillac with it's wild pneumatic suspension and gracious fin apenditures as used by many manufacturers of it's era.
Special thanks to Event Organiser Thong, Officer Ryan (Fellow judge), Fairfield City Council and all the exhibitors for braving the weather and showing off their cars.
