Beautiful Gwandalan School just past Newcastle was the venue for the first event hosted by the 1939 Chev Club of NSW. A turnout of many vehicles were present during a warm and pleasant day with a picturesque backdrop leading onto the water.
Cars were many and varied in make and model also including a few motorcycles. The event raised money for charity and as such is always a worthy cause. Visitors were also treated to a jet boat ride on the river which many people enjoyed.
Also present on the day was a fire engine from a fore-gone era which proved popular amongst the young and young at heart.
The best way to describe this event is a well organized, well catered for and laid back event which attracted a large following of friendly local folk.
Best of luck to the 1939 Chev club and we will be working closely with them in the future.
