The VW Nationals were held at Fairfield Show grounds, Prairewood in Sydney's southwest on Sunday 25th May 2008. The concourse field was some 200 vehicles in number being judged in over 40 categories. Show Off attends over 40 events per year and we must be extend congratulations to the owners of VW's for being one of the most charismatic and fun enthusiasts. Their personalities ooze out of these vehicles.
This is easily seen from our photo's and video footage taken at the show. Each vehicle from the Beetle, Kombi Van , Dune Buggies or trikes each vehicles screams its owners individuality and style. Notes to details such as the Play Dub Beetle, the amazing brushwork on both the trikes and beetles.
This concourse of vehicles had it all Off Roaders, Convertibles, Vans, Ute's, Camper vans, Pleasure Vans, Sports, Unique and custom. The beetle being a rear engine vehicle creates a chance for creations to run wild with the boot space at the front of the vehicle. Its shows' like these you do not envy the judges.
An enjoyable show with a welcoming family atmosphere. Plentiful in space, parking, food vendors and amenities. Whether looking for VW merchandise or out to grab a few spare parts there was plentiful of stores and boot stalls. The success of this show a tribute to excellent organization by Club Vee Dub Sydney Inc.
We have definitely penned this in the "must do " list for 2009 Events.
