The team was priveledged to be present when the Vietnam Veteran Motorcycle Club held it's annual Show And Shine Event of 2008 at the "Dat" in Sutherland, Sydney NSW (Australia). Shrouded in history and surrounded by vintage and modern motorcycles the event was entertaining to say the least.
On the day we were treated to a fantastic day full of music, fun and big boys toys. Total Carnage the rock band pumped out some grungy tunes which matched the muscle on display.
Alcohol and a feed was included for all those who attended the event and as such made the event well catered for. To our surprise a special addition to the event was a burnout competition where a few of the keen contestants voluntarily shredded their rear tyres for the entertainment of the crowd. The burnout competition was enjoyed by all the spectators and was a welcome addition to the show and shine event. Not only could you admire the bikes on display, but also get to see them all in action !
My Personal favorites of the day have to be the award winning viper trike, Skullster Harley Davidson and Simbad's 308 Holden V8 powered trike. All the bikes on display were extremely well presented and in immaculate condition.
A special thank you must go out to our gracious hosts Spike And Feral for allowing us to cover the event and join in on the festivities. An excellent event enjoyed by all !.
